Customer Loyalty Program

Customer Loyalty Discount

Peek offers a customer loyalty program in the form of order discounts. If you have spent $500 (excluding tax) with Peek in the prior 12 months (as of the last month-end), you will receive a 10% discount on any product not on sale (excluding gift certificates)! Discount is applied in the shopping cart.

To receive the discount, your purchases must meet the specified amount in the prior 12 months. Following each month-end, we will evaluate the history for the prior 12 months, and make changes as necessary. You will be notified via email of any changes.

Just to reiterate:

  • you must logon with your customer account to have your order count towards the loyalty program
  • changes to discount levels will ONLY be made once a month, shortly after month-end, and will become effective once we have notified you via email

    Weekly Shipping

    Another benefit offered to our Customer Loyalty Customers is weekly shipping. Here's what you need to know about the program:
  • You may place multiple orders during a week -- we will pull your orders as they come in, set them aside, and ship all your held orders once a week. The shipping charge will be determined based on the weight of the combined orders. If product arrives and you are worried that it may sell out, go ahead and order it. We'll pull it and hold for your weekly shipment.
  • Participation is totally optional. You will need to tell us if you want your order held. If you do not tell us to hold for weekly shipping, your order will shipped as soon as it is pulled.
  • The cutoff for weekly shipments is Tuesday. Once Tuesday orders have been pulled, we will box, weigh, and ship the weekly orders. You will be charged for shipping at that time. As a general rule, your weekly order will ship on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on whether your order is boxed in time for daily pickup. Shipping could also be influenced if we have an unusually large number of orders come in on Tuesday.
  • Your credit card will be charged as soon as your order is pulled. We will charge only for the product that was pulled and set aside. Nothing will be charged for shipping until the order ships.

    How to participate in the program:

  • Participation is optional.
  • If you want to participate, we must have a credit card on file for the shipping charge. If you want to participate in the program, please call us with your credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and the security code on the back. You can call us at 972-727-4110, or you can fax it to 815-301-9158. Please do not send your credit card information via email.
  • When you checkout, put a note in the comments section that says "hold for weekly shipment". Without this comment, your order will be pulled, packed, and shipped as soon as it comes up in the queue. Many of you "want it now!" :) , and may not want to participate in a weekly shipping program. That is fine - it is totally up to you.
  • We will only hold your order if 1) you ask us to hold for weekly shipping, 2) you are eligible for the customer loyalty program, and 3) we have a credit card on file for you.

  • Shipping & Handling

    A Peek into Yesterday ships anywhere in the world, within US government restrictions.

    We ship both UPS and USPS -- the choice is yours. Shipping charges are based destination, package weight (including box), and carrier. Insurance is included in the charge. Domestic shipping charges start at $4.60. Our goal is to charge actual shipping, but it may be a little higher or a little lower every now and then due to rounding errors with package weight.

    Orders shipped outside the United States will contain the required customs documentation, will be clearly labeled as merchandise, and will include the value of the contents. This is a legal requirement. You will be responsible for any duty, VAT, or import taxes charged by your country. Please do not ask us to mark your package as a gift. We can not and will not do this.

    Orders shipping outside the United States usually arrive within a week to ten days. But please be aware that once your package is shipped, it is completely outside of our control. International shipments can take up to eight weeks. If you want a guaranteed delivery date with traceablity, please select UPS for shipping.

    For orders shipping outside the US, we charge actual shipping plus $3.50. Shipping is usually over-estimated at checkout for international shipments. We will refund the difference once your package is shipped.

    Delivery Schedule

    Our goal is to have your order to you within a week of ordering. Generally this is much quicker, depending on your location.

    We do our very best to package and ship orders within 24 hours (same or next business day). We almost always meet this goal. We ask for your patience, though, during the busier times of the year, or the first day or so after release of a much-anticipated product.

    When you select your shipping method, the shipping time is in addition to the in-house time. For example, if you select UPS 3-Day, you will receive your order in 3 UPS business days after it leaves our warehouse.

    USPS business days are Monday - Saturday, excluding holidays

    UPS business days are Monday - Friday, excluding holidays

    We ship USPS orders Monday through Saturday, although we have a noon cutoff on Saturday.

    Since UPS doesn't pickup or deliver on Saturday, UPS orders ship Monday through Friday. Do not count Saturday or Sunday when estimating your delivery date.

    Privacy Policy

    A Peek into Yesterday does not share your personal information, including email addresses, with anyone. We collect this information for our use only, so that we may communicate with you.

    You should be aware that cookies are used on our site. Cookies are small files created on your computer which allow our site to recognize you when you shop. Cookies are used to keep track of your shopping cart contents, and to store your addresses if you select the "Remember Me" option.

    Data collected by this site is used to: Take and fulfill customer orders, Administer and enhance the site and service, Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes

    Payment Options

    We accept Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) PayPal, and Money Orders. If you use a credit card, your credit card will be pre-authorized when you submit your order, and charged once your order has been shipped. If you select Money Order, payment is expected within 14 days of ordering. We will ship your order as soon as we receive payment. Please note, though, that inventory is not reserved for orders waiting money orders. Unpaid orders will be purged from our system after two weeks.

    Credit Card Security

    A Peek into Yesterday uses authorize.net to process credit card payments. Authorize.net is one of the largest credit card processors on the internet. When you get ready to provide your credit card information, our site will transfer you to the authorize.net site where you can complete your order. This is a secured site, operating on a secured server. You can be completely confident that your credit card information is safe.

    Sales Tax

    A Peek into Yesterday operates in Texas. Orders shipped anywhere within Texas will be charged sales tax. Orders shipping outside of Texas are not taxed.

    Returns

    A Peek into Yesterday is committed to your total satisfaction.

    Returns are accepted if received within 21 days of shipment for a refund or exchange. Books and software are non-refundable, but if defective may be exchanged for a replacement of the same book or software title. All returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Shipping charges are non-refundable/

    IMPORTANT: Returns do not need to be pre-authorized, but they must be accompanied by the packing slip or invoice, with the reason for the return indicated. The returned items must be in a condition suitable for resale. If the return does not meet these conditions, A Peek into Yesterday can not issue a refund. If the items are then to be returned to you, you will be charged the return shipping charges.

    You may want to insure your return. We cannot be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.

    Lost Orders

    If your are shipping your order via USPS (United States Postal Service), you must allow four weeks for US delivery, and six weeks for international delivery. If your order is not delivered within this time, we will email a statement for you to print, sign, and return. Once we receive the signed statement from you, we will issue a refund for the entire amount of the order. (This statement is required for us to file a claim with our insurance company.)

    The cost of insuring your package is included in the shipping cost.

    UPS (United Parcel Service) shipments are traceable. If your package is missing is not delivered on the specified delivery date, UPS will trace it. The wait period for a refund for missing UPS packages is about a week.

    Damages

    If you receive an order which has been damaged during shipment, A Peek into Yesterday will replace the damaged items with no charge to you, or issue you a refund. Please save the original package and contents, and contact us at service@apeekintoyesterday.com or 972-727-4110.

    If our insurance company requires it, we will ask for a signed statement from you stating the shipment was damaged. If so, we will email a statement for you to print, sign, and return. Once we receive the signed statement, then the order will be replaced or refunded.

    Backorders

    A Peek into Yesterday does not hold backorders. If your order includes items that are out-of-stock, these items will be cancelled. You may re-order them when they are back in stock.

    Pre-Orders

    We do not take pre-orders. We've found that pre-orders usually lead to disappointment and frustration when product doesn't arrive on time, or it arrives damaged, etc. However, we will be happy to notify you via email when things arrive.
