How to flatten bottle caps

When a bottle cap is flattened, the edges of the bottle cap roll up and over, and create a very nice looking ruffled edge. The result is a nice looking frame around the round cap.

Place your bottle cap on a flat surface with the top side up. Pound it a few times with a rubber mallet. Turn it over, and pound it a bit more. One good hard hit should do it!

And there you have it -- a perfect round frame!!
