Scrapbook Supplies > Tips & Ideas > Making Your Own Paper

Thanks, Scrapqueenie, for the following:

How to make your own paper:

1. Put 2 cups of cardstock pieces in a blender varying shades according to your needs. Note: it gets darker. Cover this completely with water and blend until you have a clump in your blender.

2. Pour into a collander strain. Then press out onto a new cookie sheet with no rust stains (rust will get on your paper). Pat out until very flat and fine.........

3. To make clouds, I do this 3 times making different batches of color..pale blue, pink, and almost white blue. Pat all these out adding varying handfuls of color all over the cookie sheet. Pat flat Use a paper towel on top to remove excess water (then remove the paper towel).

4. Place the cookie sheet with the paper out in the sun or in a warm place in house. Pat periodically.

5. When the paper is dry, pry it up carefully with a spatula.

6. Break it into sizes you like..........Vary colors for different efffects So fun!
