TIP: Stamping Supplies - Cardstock

Prism's Prismatic Cardstocks are absolutely wonderful for stamping. They have a beautiful watercolor paper texture, which takes stamping (and handwriting) very, very well.

Bazzill offers a smooth cardstock, Bazzill Smoothies, also wonderful for stamping.

Stamping Tip: Perfect Alignment

If you have trouble getting your stamps lined evenly, or getting a nice square frame on the acrylic block, here's a great tip for you:

Put your stamps down on your layout, face down, as you want them stamped. Then press your acrylic block against the back of the stamps to pick them up. Magic! Now your stamps are perfectly aligned on the block. Just ink and stamp!

Stamping Tip: Stayz-On Ink

We get a lot of questions about using Staz-On ink with your clear stamps. Technique Tuesday has told us that Staz-On ink can be damaging to stamps if not used carefully. Clean stamps thoroughly as soon as possible after using Staz-On ink. The stamps will be permanently stained, but the stain does not impact the use of the stamps.

So use with caution, wash thoroughly immediately after use, and be willing to accept the permanent stain to your stamp.
